Hi! I'm VannDoc, and I translate Ren'Py visual novels (into Russian). However, as you can see, I'm now doing more than just translations—I'm also developing this program.

RAT (Ren'Py Auto Translator) is a lightweight and fully automated localization tool designed to make translating Ren'Py visual novels as effortless as possible. Whether you are a localizer trying to speed up your workflow or a player who wants to read a new release in your native language, RAT handles all the technical heavy lifting for you.

• Smart Auto-Unpacking: The tool automatically extracts and decompiles game archives and .rpyc script files—no third-party software required.

• Translation Engine Selection: You can choose the translation engine that will be responsible for translating your visual novel. Seamlessly switch between various available engines. You can also set a backup engine to automatically catch any phrases if the primary one hits a rate limit.

• Safe Code Parsing: RAT is built to translate only the dialogue and UI text. It carefully protects game variables, code logic, and formatting tags to ensure the game remains fully playable without crashes.

• History & Backup System: Keep track of the visual novels you've modified. If anything goes wrong, you can restore original scripts, fonts, or full game backups with a single click.

• Modern Interface: A clean, fast, and user-friendly UI that makes the entire translation process clear and intuitive.
